The Ardlair School of Dancing is all about the wonderful dancers, parents, family and friends who share Ardlair's common vision of providing life-long enjoyment, achievement, confidence and strong support for each other.   Our school is a wonderful place because of the contribution that each of our dancers make; whether than be through dancing achievement, team support, or personal motivation and dedication which inspires others.

Meet some of the dancers that contribute to the Ardlair spirit!

Age:  12
Year started with Ardlair:  2005
Best dancing memory:  Getting a sixth placing in my fling in my very first championship in Sydney at the Grand Australasian Championship, and coming second in the Southern States Championship in Mt Gambier in 2008!
Long-term dancing goal:  Dancing in Scotland at the World Championships!
Favourite Part of Ardlair:  The dancing, making new friends all over the world, meeting new people, and making people happy when dancing in displays.  My most favourite part is the brilliant and fantastic and extremely clever dance teacher Miss Lisa!

Best dancing memory:  
Dancing at Daylesford and getting a placing in my Fling and Sword
Long-term dancing goal:  
To be able to compete at more competitions and a big dancing display and do well.  
Favourite Part of Ardlair:  
There are so many things for this question, where do I start???  The warm, friendly environment, the friends I have made, the encouragement, courage, care and hard work that each and every individual puts into their dancing and Ardlair as a group.  The wonderful and supportive teachers (Miss Lisa and Duncan) that helps me to achieve and reach my full potential.  The dancing involvement with the community, the displays and the activities that we do as a group with such a wonderful team (or could I say little family?)

Year started with Ardlair:  Term 3, 2006
Best dancing memory:
I have so many faves that it is hard to choose, but I would most likely say Champion of Champions 2010.
Long-term dancing goal: 
Winning a World Championship, also I think dancing in Scotland at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Favourite Part of Ardlair:  Learning many different skills, not just dancing ones

Year started with Ardlair:  Term 3, 2006, took a couple of years break, restarted end of 2010.
Best dancing memory: 
Dancing at Daylesford last year, it was my first competition back and I came second in my trophy fling!!!
Long-term dancing goal:  To do well and have fun along the way
Favourite Part of Ardlair:  All of the nice people, everyone welcomed me back!

Best dancing memory:  Dancing at the Mayoress Fun Day in 2006 because that was the first time I danced in public!  Also winning the Pre-premier Novice section at the SA State Championships this year was great!
Long-term dancing goal: To get into Premier and Championships!
Favourite Part of Ardlair:  Dancing!!

Best dancing memory:  Marita's debutante ball, it was lots of fun!!  Also dancing at Daylesford in 2008 as I felt I danced well there.
Long-term dancing goal: Championships, I want to keep working at them.
Favourite Part of Ardlair:  Everything - we are a great team.  I especially love x-training sessions!

Best dancing memory:  Taking part in the 2010 Sydney Edinburgh Tattoo, the experience was amazing.
Long-term dancing goal:  To get a top 6th placing in a Championship
Favourite Part of Ardlair:  How we all support each other when needed and we work together as a team.

Best dancing memory:  4th in the Pas de Basques in Warrnambool and a Merit at Tyrendarra
Long-term dancing goal:  To learn the Highland Fling after getting my Pdb's in time with the music!
Favourite Part of Ardlair:  I like doing Mix-up warmups.  I love both the dances I have learnt.  I love Miss Lisa (and the girls)
